So, back to that original question, if you run into an alligator, the experts all agree that you should keep your distance. If you stumble upon one – then your best chance is to run.
All you need is about 20 – 30 feet of distance. The alligator won’t run after you. You can also make noise – alligators usually avoid people the more noise, the better.
