They then told her that Lucy had died – it was a risky plan, but it worked! When the woman came back to town, she didn’t even ask any questions about Lucy. Happily, Lucy was transported to New York and got treated for her injuries.

She had reconstructive jaw surgery. After several months of recovery Lucy’s life is much happier!
