Someone covered this orange ginger cat with oil and then just left him to die. The sever-year-old cat had ingested a lot of the motor oil when he tried to clean himself off – which made things a little worse for him. The cat, now named Slick, was rescued and taken to Northgate Veterinary Clinic for treatment.
Slick was moved to the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter where he continues to recuperate. He has an IV to help flush all the oil he ingested out of his system before it damages his kidneys. Once he is fully recovered, Slick will be up for adoption! Do you have room in your house and heart for this handsome fellow? Do you know someone who does?
If so, contact the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter! There are many other deserving animals living in a shelter near you. Visit their website or go in person, your next furry friend is waiting!
