A piglet was abandoned by her mother at infancy, without her mother, she will die. Going hungry and without warmth, this piglet had no chance of survival. Thankfully, some people found her and brought her home, naming her Paulinchen. That was when she met Katjinga, an eight year old Rhodesian Ridgeback farm dog, who took up that role as her mother.
Fulfilling the role that of a mother pig, she allowed the small piglet to suckle and kept her close to her side for warmth. This piglet now has a chance of surival thanks to them!
She currently shares milk with five other puppies in the litter.
Only two weeks old, she would have been a meal for foxes if she was not rescued.
Katjinga treats her as one of her own, despite the difference in species!
Share away, people.
