Why a parent would ever leave their child in a car unattended for any length of time is beyond me. If you are with your child, you shouldn’t need a reminder to take them out of the car. But, to help those of us who can’t remember it is unsafe to leave your child in a hot car, Bishop Curry, a fifth grader from McKinney, Texas has invented a device called the Oasis, to help monitor the temperature inside your car.
If the temperature gets too high, the Oasis will turn on, and cool air will be emitted. The plan is to have a cover or a car seat that will be able to start cooling the air around the child until help arrives.
Parents and the authorities will be alerted once it has been activated too. Bishop got the idea for the Oasis after his neighbors 6-month-old baby died from heatstroke after being left in a car.
