When a large group of lunch ladies with food-stained clothes marched onto the gym floor during the American Dance/Drill Team competition, the audience wasn’t quite sure what to think. But then the music began, and the audience was in tears of laughter!
As it turned out, this big gaggle of lunch ladies weren’t real lunch ladies – they were the Hallsville High School dance team, dressed up in hilarious costumes complete with aprons, hair-nets, and padding over their butts to amplify their derrieres.
From the beginning, their combination of cool moves and hilarious acting won over the crowd.
The music selection was nothing short of iconic, being a massive mash-up hit of songs like “Don’t Cha” by the Pussycat Dolls, “Yummy Yummy Yummy I got love in my tummy” by Ohio Express, “Apple Bottom Jeans” by Flo Rida, “Tootsee Roll” by the 69 Boyz, “Do the Mashed Potatoes” by James Brown, and even “Eat It” by Weird Al Yankovic!

On top of excellent choreography, the dancers threw in some old-fashioned moves that you might imagine a lunch lady doing to add to the comedic effect. All-in-all, the humor and talent of these dancers was more than enough to make the whole routine a smash hit. The crowd was on their feet and screaming by the end of it!
